The Sycamore Hills Swim Club (SHSC) is a private pool owned by the Sycamore Hills Residents Association (SHRA) and is operated for the
enjoyment of members and their guests. These rules have been adopted to ensure the safety of every member and to support an enjoyable
swim season. Please review this list with your children and your guests.

1. Members and guests MUST comply with all of the rules. Failure to comply will result in appropriate disciplinary action including
   suspension from the pool and revocation of SHSC membership. First offenses may result in ten‐minute bench warnings. Continued offenses will result in day and weeklong suspensions. Parents will be notified of all loss of club privileges.
2. The lifeguards, pool manager and SHRA trustees have complete authority over activities, games, toys, and behavior in and around
   the pool. Those mentioned also have authority over activities and behaviors on the bridge and in the parking lot. Failure to comply
   with instructions may result in appropriate disciplinary actions including suspension from the pool and revocation of SHSC
   Membership.
3. The following are not permitted in the pool area: running, pushing, shoving, towel snapping, foul or vulgar language, excessive
   yelling or screaming, and glass containers. Never jump into the pool onto a raft and no standing on floats. Always know where
   others are in the pool, especially if you plan to jump into the pool as to avoid accidental contact.
4. All those members and their guests using the pools do so at their own risk. Parents assume responsibility for the behavior and
   safety of their children.
5. SHSC and SHRA are not responsible for the loss of personal property.
6. Each member or guest shall be financially responsible for his/her acts that result in the loss or damage of pool facilities and
   equipment. Parents of minors shall be financially responsible for acts of their children resulting in loss or damage of pool facilities
   and equipment.
7. Vandalism or trespassing on pool grounds may result in suspension or revocation of Swim Club membership and appropriate legal
   action. No person is permitted within the pool’s fenced area when the pool is closed.
8. Swimsuits must be worn in the water. No long pants, underwear, or other inappropriate attire is allowed.
9. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
10. SHSC is a smoke‐free facility. Smoking is only permitted in the designated areas outside the pool fence.
11. The baby pool is limited to children age four and under. Children over age four are not permitted in the baby pool, unless
    accompanying a sibling who is under the age of four.
12. Children requiring diapers MUST wear swim diapers. Swim diapers are available for purchase at the swim office. Parents are
    strongly encouraged to utilize the changing tables available in both restrooms.
13. Talking to the lifeguards when they are on duty is highly discouraged and must be kept to a minimum.
14. The pool will be cleared once every hour for a rest period. Adults (18 & over) may use the pool during rest periods. Parents may
    bring small children (3 & under) into the pool with them during rest periods.
15. A swimmer must be able to swim across the pool and back with a strong freestyle stroke in order to swim in the deep end of the
    pool.
16. No diving from the sides of the diving board or the sides of the pool, except in the deep end. No double‐bouncing on the boards.
    Back dives, back flips, inward dives or reverse dives are prohibited by Columbus Health Code 227.04a9.
17. Only one swimmer is permitted in the diving well at a time. Divers must wait for the previous diver to exit before diving.
18. The office is for office staff and guard use only. The office phone is not for personal use, except in emergencies.
19. The driveway must remain passable such that an emergency vehicle can access the facility.
20. Sycamore Hills Residents may not come as guests – residents must purchase a membership to use the club. Exceptions are made
    during special events and on Friday Night Grill nights.
21. Pets are NOT allowed within the fenced, pool area
